BUONICONTI FUND TO CURE PARALYSIS
The Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis, established by the Buoniconti Family when their son sustained a spinal cord injury during a college football game, serves as a non-profit organization devoted to finding a cure for paralysis. The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, founded by Barth A. Green, MD & NFL Hall of Fame linebacker Nick Buoniconti, has become the world's largest & most comprehensive spinal cord injury research center. The Buoniconti Fund, with chapters throughout many cities, serves as the national fundraising arm for The Miami Project. The Fund is designed to complement The Project's scientific accomplishments by generating high levels of awareness & funds.

CHRISTOPHER REEVE PARALYSIS FOUNDATION

The Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation (CRPF) is committed to funding research that develops treatments and cures for paralysis caused by spinal cord injury and other central nervous system disorders. The Foundation also vigorously works to improve the quality of life for people living with disabilities through its grants program, paralysis resource center and advocacy efforts.

KENNEDY KRIEGER SPINAL CORD RESEARCH
Kennedy Krieger Institute is an internationally recognized facility located in Baltimore, Maryland dedicated to improving the lives of children and adolescents with pediatric developmental disabilities through patient care, special education, research, and professional training. Currently, at KKI's Spinal Cord Research Center, new ways to perform cell transplantation using nuclear transfer of embryonic stem cells is being explored.

MIAMI PROJECT
The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis is A Center of Excellence housed at the Lois Pope LIFE Center at the University of Miami School of Medicine & is dedicated to finding more effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure for paralysis. The Miami Project has assembled a broad spectrum of researchers, clinicians, and therapists whose expertise relate directly to the problem of SCI and whose full-time focus is SCI research. The Project works in conjunction with the Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis to find effective treatments and eventually a cure, for SCI.

JONI EAREKSON TADA
Founder & President of 'Joni & Friends". A diving accident left Mrs. Tada a quadriplegic in a wheelchair, unable to use her hands. During two years of rehabilitation, she learned how to paint with a brush between her teeth. Her fine art paintings and prints are sought after and collected. Due to her best-selling books, beginning with her autobiography, and her feature film, 'Joni", her name is recognized around the world. She was also appointed to the National Council on Disability and was present on board when the Americans with Disabilities Act became law.

PATRICK RUMMERFIELD

World’s First Fully Recovered Quadriplegic. Injured in a alcohol-related car crash, Patrick Rummerfield's spine suffered four crushed cervical vertebraes. Enduring three years of intense physical therapy, he now functions with almost complete normalcy and is credited as the world's only recorded fully-recovered spinal cord injury quadriplegic. He began an incredible 17 year struggle to run again and eventually participated in the Ironman Triathlon in Hawaii.

ROBERT FLORIO
Paralyzed since the age of 14, Robert has created his own fund through The National Transplant Fund and is pursuing a career in art and videogaming for disabled people.

S.B. LEE: SUPERMAN, MD
Also known as Superman, MD, Robert Seung-bok 'S.B." Lee, a former Olympic Gymnast, is currently Chief Resident in the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and one of only two tetraplegic physicians currently practicing in the nation.

The Maryland Technology Assistance Program (MD TAP) is a federally funded project of the National Institute for Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) MD TAP Grant No. H224A90019-98. MD TAP is governed under the provisions of Public Law 105-394 (1998) and is a program within the Maryland Department of Disabilities.

The Maryland Disability Law Center (MDLC) is a private, non-profit organization Staffed by attorneys and paralegals. MDLC is the Protection and Advocacy organization for Maryland.
